In September 2017, Clemens Food Group opened the doors to their new hog processing facility in Coldwater, Michigan. It’s impressive 650,000 square feet area is equipped exclusively with high product quality in mind, including a complete Haarslev state-of-the-art rendering plant.
At the facility, all trimmings and waste from the harvest floor are sent to the rendering area which is fully integrated with the complex. Using the newest Haarslev processing technology, by-products from the slaughtering lines are turned into valuable protein meal and grease to be used in, e.g.animal feed.
